Covid-19 Update

To our Community,

Mid Valley Shopping Centre will adopt the following changes to COVID-19 restrictions in line with the recent Victorian Government press release.

Relevant Changes to COVID-19 restrictions from 11:59pm on Friday 25th February 2022:

Masks will still be required indoors in the following circumstances, unless an exemption applies:

  • Workers in hospitality and retail.

Masks are recommended for other workers serving or facing members of the public, such as if you are at reception, meeting guests or serving customers.

Further details on the new restrictions coming into place this week will be published online at www.coronavirus.vic.gov.au from 11:59pm on 25 February.

Covid-19 Update

To our Community,

Mid Valley Shopping Centre will adopt the following changes to COVID-19 restrictions in line with the recent Victorian Government press release.

Relevant Changes to restrictions from 6pm Friday 18th February 2022:

  • QR code check-in requirements will no longer be in place at retail venues, schools (including childcare and early childhood) and for employees at many workplaces.
  • QR code check-in and vaccination check requirements will remain in all ‘vaccinated economy’ settings such as hospitality and entertainment venues.
  • Density quotients of one person per two square meters in place at hospitality and entertainment venues will be removed. Indoor dancefloors at these venues can also re-open.
  • Further details on the new restrictions coming into place this week will be published online at coronavirus.vic.gov.au from 6pm on 18 February.

Settings for Regional Victoria will change at 6:00pm on Friday 29th October:

Mid Valley Shopping Centre will adopt the following changes:

  • General Retail: Open. The Service Vic QR code app required to record attendance.
  • Cafés & Restaurants: Open for seated service only (subject to density limits).
  • Food Courts: Open for take away and seated service only (subject to density limits). Sign in with QR Code on tables. Masks can be removed to consume food and drink.
  • Beauty & Personal Care: Open with density quotas in place.  Masks must remain on for duration of service.
  • Village Cinemas: Open with density restrictions in place. Contact Village directly for trading details.
  • Mid V’s Fun Zone & Book Nook: Open with density quotas in place. Sign in with QR Code at entry.
  • Walking Groups: The outdoor walking group will resume on Friday at 8.30am. The Wednesday indoor walking group will remain postponed for now. Follow our Facebook page for updates.
  • Nursery Rhyme Time: Will remain postponed for now. Follow our Facebook page for updates.

Covid-19 Update – Exposure Sites

To our valued customers,
 
We have been advised that Pets Domain at Mid Valley Shopping Centre has been identified as a COVID-19 Tier 1 exposure site. The store has carried out cleaning procedures required by Public Health Services. 
 
Also please note regarding Village Cinemas:

Following further investigation the Tier 1 Exposure Site at Village Cinema in Morwell has been reclassified and the Tier 1 Exposure rating is ONLY applicable to CINEMA 5.

 

📍 Pets Domain:
📅 Tuesday 28th September.
⏰ Customer visited between 12:00pm – 2:00pm.
 
📍 Village Cinemas (CINEMA 5 ONLY):
📅 Sunday 26th September
⏰ Customer visited between 7.00pm- 10.30pm.
 
If you attended Cinema 5 at Village Cinema in Morwell during the time specified, please isolate for 14 days. Get tested and stay isolating regardless of the result. If you have been in quarantine having attended the cinema site during the specified times, but did not attend Cinema 5, please call 5173 5451.

Covid-19 Update – Exposure Sites

To our valued customers,
 
We have been advised that Cafe Qu Bah and Village Cinemas at Mid Valley Shopping Centre have been identified as a COVID-19 Tier 1 exposure site.
 
📍 Cafe Qu Bah:
📅 Sunday 26th September.
⏰ Customer visited between 5.55pm – 7.15pm.
 
📍 Village Cinemas:
📅 Sunday 26th September
⏰ Customer visited between 7.00pm- 10.30pm.
 
Cafe Qu Bah has cleaned their premises in accordance with the DHHS guidelines and has reopened for takeaway.
Anyone who has visited a Tier 1 exposure site at the same time as a case must urgently get tested for COVID-19 and isolate for 14 days. Some individuals at the site may be identified as Tier 2 contacts and will only be required to isolate until they have returned a negative result.
 
We will continue to monitor the situation and follow all relevant advice and guidance issued by Federal and State authorities.

To combat the current COVID-19 outbreak, from 11.59pm on Tuesday 28 September Latrobe City will move into a 7 day lockdown with the same lockdown conditions as metropolitan Melbourne.

The Centre will remain open and we will still serve the community to provide access to essential goods and services, including the supermarket.

  • Non-essential retail will move back to a ‘click and collect’ model.
  • All food services will operate as takeaway only.

Covid-19 Update – Exposure Sites

To our valued customers,
 
We have been advised that Woolworths Supermarket and Bunnings Warehouse at Mid Valley Shopping Centre has been identified as a COVID-19 Tier 2 exposure site.
 
📍 Woolworths Supermarket Mid Valley:
📅 Wednesday 22nd September
⏰ Customer visited between 9.30am – 10am.
 
📍 Bunnings Warehouse Mid Valley:
📅 Tuesday 21st September.
⏰ Customer visited between 5.10pm – 5.35pm.
 
The stores are following DHHS advice and undertaken standard cleaning protocols and will continue to trade normally.
Only people who visited a Tier 2 Exposure Site during the specified times are required to get tested and stay home until they receive a negative result.
 
A Tier 2 premises have either had confirmed cases visit during their infectious period or are sites where a confirmed case may have acquired their infection. This does not mean there is an ongoing risk associated with the premises

Covid-19 Update

To our local community,

With the confirmation of Stage 4 restrictions across Victoria, Mid Valley Shopping Centre will undergo a number of changes from tomorrow Saturday 13th February to 11.59pm on Wednesday 17th February. The Centre will remain open and we will still serve the community to provide access to essential goods and services as defined by the Victorian State Government.The stores that will remain open are Woolworths, BWS, My Chemist, Mid Valley Family medicine, The Reject Shop, Dimmeys, Morwell Florist, Card Alley (Australia Post), Norm Oliver Meats, Bakers Delight, Pets Domain.
Big W and Bunnings will offer click and collect orders only. Please order through their website.
All food services will remain take away only.

Some essential stores trading times may be affected. To confirm their hours of operation, we recommend you call their store.

In line with the government’s latest announcement Regional Victoria will move to step 3 restrictions from 11.59pm on Wednesday 16 September 2020.  Mid Valley has implemented the following action:

  • Mid Valley’s Food Court remains open for take away and delivery only.  Cafes and restaurants including Café Qu Bah, Muffin Break and Pie Addicts now offer limited seating.
  • Beauty and personal care services are open with customers to wear a face covering during service.
  • Village Cinemas remains closed until further notice.

COVID-19 Update

Mid Valley continues to play an essential role in our community, providing you with access to retail, food as well as essential household items, products and services.

The OPTUS and Cutting Edge Keys stores at Mid Valley have been contacted by the department of health and advised that they have been identified as a Casual Contact point for a confirmed COVID-19 case on Thursday 27th August 2020. Casual Contact is defined as:

– Spending less than 15 minutes face-to-face in any setting with a person who is a confirmed case AND they had symptoms at the time, or;

– Sharing a closed space for less than two hours with a person who is a confirmed case AND they had symptoms at the time.

Both stores have since undertaken a thorough sanitisation of the store in accordance with Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) recommendations. Optus will reopen tomorrow Tuesday 1st September 2020.

The advice from authorities in this case is for any visitors to Mid Valley to go about your normal business, but monitor yourself for 14 days for the most common symptoms of COVID-19. If you have a fever or respiratory symptoms phone the COVID-19 24-hour hotline 1800 675 398, or a GP or emergency department to arrange for testing and appropriate care.

We respectfully ask all visitors and staff to Mid Valley to observe social distancing measures in place, wear a face covering, exercise high standards of hygiene including washing your hands thoroughly and to stay at home if you are feeling unwell.

  • All take away food stores, cafes and restaurants at Mid Valley including Café Qu Bah are trading ‘take away’ only.
  • Beauty and personal care services have closed until further notice.
  • Village Cinemas has closed until further notice.
  • From Sunday 2 August at 11:59pm, a face covering will be mandatory whenever you visit Mid Valley.

COVID-19 Update

Mid Valley Shopping Centre continues to play an essential role for our community especially during this time of concern, providing access to food, household items, products, medical services and banking for everyday needs.

The wellbeing of our shoppers, retailers, staff, contractors and community remains Mid Valley’s greatest priority at all times.  To assist in minimising the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19), Mid Valley has implemented the following actions:

  • Contractors must notify Centre Management of any recent overseas travel.
  • Currently Mid Valley has no known confirmed cases of COVID-19 and have asked that tenants and customers notify Mid Valley Management of any confirmed cases.
  • We have requested visitors to Mid Valley exercise high standards of hygiene and to wash their hands thoroughly. Hand-sanitisation stations have been installed at entry points to the Centre and inside Centre Management.
  • Increased the frequency of cleaning in common areas accessed by the public, on contact points and surfaces.
  • Usage of personal protective equipment has been reinforced for our maintenance and cleaning team.
  • Weekly event based activities including nursery rhyme time and the walking group have been placed on hold along with other planned marketing activities.
  • Kids’ mall play equipment, Funzone play area and Book Nook are closed to the public.
  • Following the stage 1 restrictions announced by the government, Village Cinemas was restricted from opening from midday local time from 23 March 2020. Cafes and restaurants were restricted to takeaway only resulting in the closure of the Mid Valley food court and removal of seating.
  • Safe distancing measures are in place at Mid Valley including at individual retail stores with floor markers and distancing posters to remind customers to comply with these important measures.
